Many people have set New Year resolution goals to either lose or gain weight. However, due to a lack of knowledge when it comes to healthy weight loss habits, people struggle with sticking to their goals or living a healthier lifestyle. With the latest technology installed into the smart bottle, users can use the state-of-the-art touchscreen to view and learn how to properly complete different exercises. The smart bottle allows users to share their tips with other syndicate smart bottle users, creating a community where members work together and help each other achieve their goals. Most importantly, it brings people together.

The Syndicate Smart Bottle has been designed with the latest cutting-edge technology in mind. Utilizing NFC technology, the smart bottle can be used to pay for lunch or healthy snacks before training.

This smart bottle was designed to work efficiently using trial and error prototyping. As the user slides the lid back, the mechanism inside pushes the straw up to allow them to drink.

Additionally, this bottle allows gym goers and athletes the ability to store their keys and personal cards safely and securely inside the product, rather than tossing these important items inside their bags and causing clutter or throwing them in their pockets where they can easily fall out. Security is never an issue, as the fingerprint security measure unlocks the bottle only to the authorized user, keeping their keys and other items tucked away the rest of the time.

 One of the features inside the Syndicate Smart Bottle is the frequent reminders to drink water and stay hydrated. The pre-installed apps also allow users to log information to keep track of their calories and macro nutrients.

To design a smart product that would help gym enthusiasts and athletes keep up with their fluid intake and promote both community and exercise.

In my research phase, I spoke to many people who exercised outdoors and indoors as well as to a professional athlete.

I came across a few issues people highlighted:

• Not drinking enough water

• Finding it difficult to train alone and stay motivated

• Stressing over losing their wallets, keys, or other valuables at the gym (especially when there are no lockers available)

• Being distracted by mobile phones and social media

The design stage started by simply designing water bottles.

In the development stage, I had to design the components and accessories, such as the charging base, padlock, and lid. Then, I slowly integrated other features and technology until it became too much. From there, I worked on simplifying the product. Features like the padlock and storage for keys and cards were all merged into a single, clean, smart water bottle.

Further development stages allowed me to play around with the form and styling and tweak minute details to create a clean, futuristic bottle that users would become emotionally attached too.
